{"id":10250,"date":"2008-03-20T13:48:04","date_gmt":"2008-03-20T17:48:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/nitrex.gxinteractive.com\/?p=10250"},"modified":"2021-03-21T10:14:44","modified_gmt":"2021-03-21T14:14:44","slug":"the-high-performance-metals-division-of-voestalpine-ag-in-the-czech-republic-has-expanded-its-heat-treatment-capabilities-with-the-addition-of-nitrex","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nitrex.gxinteractive.com\/en\/the-high-performance-metals-division-of-voestalpine-ag-in-the-czech-republic-has-expanded-its-heat-treatment-capabilities-with-the-addition-of-nitrex\/","title":{"rendered":"The High Performance Metals Division of Voestalpine AG in the Czech Republic has expanded its heat treatment capabilities with the addition of Nitrex"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.voestalpine.com\/group\/en\/divisions\/high-performance-metals\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">High Performance Metals Division of Voestalpine AG<\/a> in the Czech Republic has expanded its heat treatment capabilities with the addition of a Nitrex system for nitriding and surface hardening stainless steel for various applications.<\/h4>\n<p><strong>TO MEET THE GROWING MARKET DEMAND FOR STAINLESS STEEL HARDENING TECHNOLOGIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The new pit-type furnace, an NX-820 model, is configured to process 31.5\u201d diameter by 78.75\u201d high (800 mm by 2000 mm) workloads that weigh up to 3850 lbs (1750 kg) and complements a prior Nitrex system installed in 2008 that combined <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nitrex.com\/nitriding-process\/#nitregc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nitreg\u00ae-C gas nitrocarburizing technology<\/a> with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nitrex.com\/nitriding-process\/#onc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ONC\u00ae post-oxidizing technology<\/a> for processing firearms.<\/p>\n<p>Capable of treating 304, 316 and 412 grade stainless steels, the new system with integral process technologies <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nitrex.com\/nitriding-process\/#nitregs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nitreg\u00ae-S<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nitrex.com\/nitriding-process\/#nanos\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nano-S&#x2122;<\/a> optimizes the mechanical performance and economic return by making these steels extremely wear and corrosion resistant and capable of achieving a longer useful life. Like all <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nitrex.com\/nitriding-process\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nitreg\u00ae brand technologies<\/a>, post cleaning of treated parts and added production steps such as machining are eliminated.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the new system order, Voestalpine and Nitrex have expanded their cooperation, granting Voestalpine the exclusive rights to commercialize <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nitrex.com\/nitriding-process\/#nitregs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nitreg\u00ae-S<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nitrex.com\/nitriding-process\/#nanos\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nano-S&#x2122;<\/a> technologies in the Czech Republic. \u201cThe agreement builds on a strong partnership and confirms the market potential of hardening technologies for stainless steels.
