Hydro is the world\u2019s leading supplier of value-added aluminum profiles solutions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ACCURATE CONTROL BOOSTS DIE STRENGTH AND EXTRUSION THROUGHPUT<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Nitrex <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nitrex.com\/nitriding-equipment-heat-treating-furnaces\/aluminium-extrusion-dies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">N-EXT 812<\/a> nitriding system replaces a decommissioned nitrider that was phased out several years ago due to extrusion die failures and inconsistent metallurgical results. The delivered solution includes <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nitrex.com\/nitriding-process\/#nitreg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nitreg\u00ae technology<\/a> that helps to optimize parameters for maximum efficiency and quality, increasing die strength and extrusion throughput, while reducing the possibility of potential die failures. Moreover, Nitreg\u00ae contributes to cost savings from reduced consumption of process gases and energy savings from shorter process times. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nitrex.com\/nitriding-equipment-heat-treating-furnaces\/aluminium-extrusion-dies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">N-EXT type furnace<\/a> has overall chamber dimensions of 31.5\u201d diameter by 47.25\u201d high (800 x 1200 mm) with a capacity to nitride a 2200 lbs (1000 kg) load.<\/p>\n<p><strong>MEETS ALL REQUIREMENTS AS CONFIRMED BY INDEPENDENT VERIFICATION AND VALIDATION<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Since the start of operations with the new nitriding installation, treated samples are periodically assessed by an external QA service to check and validate the nitride quality, specification compliance, and reliability of the Nitreg\u00ae process.
