As Vice President of Global R&amp;D and Engineering, he plays a key role in enhancing the portfolio of our current products, processes, and technologies as well as contributing to the development and innovation of new product offerings. He was appointed to this position in mid-2019.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a4904c0 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"a4904c0\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">SPEARHEADING THE DEPLOYMENT OF IIOT SOLUTIONS IN OUR SMART PRODUCT PLATFORM<\/h2>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d3ac926 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"d3ac926\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-text-editor elementor-clearfix\"><p>Winter is also responsible for spearheading the deployment of IIoT solutions in our smart product platform to enable remote monitoring and data acquisition, deeper operational analysis, and machine-to-machine interaction with the goal to improve operational efficiency, uptime, performance, and cost reduction.<\/p><p>Winter was previously Vice President R&amp;D for United Process Controls (today UPC-Marathon) from 2007-2019 and responsible for software development with teams located in Canada, China Germany, Poland, and the USA. He joined Process-Electronic, the predecessor of UPC-Marathon, in 2001, where he was Managing Director for the company\u2019s operations in Germany and France.<\/p><p>He studied electrical engineering, specializing in computer hardware and software, and started his early career at AEG and Siemens, where he worked in the field of defense technology, specifically the development of communication modules.
